What is the board of directors?
The board of directors is an elected group of volunteers, both men and women, who believe in the value of Girl Scouting and its ability to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
What does the board of directors do?
Board members use their professional expertise and personal views to inform decisions that affect the entire council. They establish policies to determine the organization's direction, and they influence the budget, executive hiring and strategy.
