Summer Camp Revamp: A Virtual Camp Experience
Six Sessions, July 6–August 14, 2020 | Grades K-12
This summer, the fun of connecting with others, exploring new
things, and receiving snail mail combine to create a one-of-a-kind
virtual experience for girls! It’s camp, reimagined… it’s Summer Camp
How it Worked
Summer Camp Revamp offered six themed, week-long virtual sessions led by our council teams and older Girl Scouts. Girls joined us either for all six weeks or picked-and-chose the weeks they liked best!
Fun for All Ages!
While activities were geared toward girls entering grades 2-8 this fall, girls in kindergarten and first grade were welcome but may have needed additional parent/guardian assistance.
Girls in grades 9-12, including Counselors in Training (CITs), were welcome to join in weekly activities with younger girls, or as assistants if they were interested in helping out with programs.

STEAM, Dreams and Ice Cream: July 6-10
Are you a scientist extraordinaire or an aspiring chef? Why not be both! For STEAM, Dreams and Ice Cream Week, the girls turned their kitchens into cooking laboratories and their yards into stages for chemistry magic.
The girls mixed emulsions, binders, and solutions (and learned what they are!) as well as sweet treats and crazy concoctions. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) is all around, and they explored that all week with notable female scientists from the past to guide them along the way.

GIRLapalooza: July 13-17
Step right up to our first ever GIRLapalooza Festival! Like every fun festival, the Summer Camp REvamp girls ate tasty carnival-inspired food, played outdoor festival games, and created lots of colorful art, including tie-dye and make-your-own chalk.
The girls learned about famous festivals that take place around the world and created their very own festival booth, and ended the week with an art showcase and a virtual dance party.
