Regional Gathering Places

Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana provides program and membership services for girls, families and adult volunteers in a large geographic region. Regionally-located Gathering Places (formerly referred to as regional service centers) provide localized services and resources closer to home.

Gathering Place hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Girl Scout Shop hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

In July 2011, we took another important step in aligning our work to our Girl Scout Mission by debuting a new “gathering space” in Chicago that brings girls, volunteers, community partners, and staff together for the purpose of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The new Girl Scout Gathering Place and Girl Scout Shop is located at 20 S. Clark, Suite 200, Chicago. The Gathering Place reflects our commitment to providing girls ages 5 – 17 and from 245 communities within our geography with innovative leadership development opportunities that prepare them for tomorrow’s world.

The lease for 222 S. Riverside Plaza expired, so we took the opportunity to relocate to create an innovative, welcoming environment that honors our past legacies, makes the space available to members and donors, and marks our 100th anniversary milestone in 2012 with the exciting possibilities of the future. We are in the heart of the Loop and are partnering in the community in a new way.

Relocating our Chicago-based space enables the council to honor its fiscal responsibilities with cost savings anticipated over the course of the 10-year lease. It also provides a significant brand presence in the heart of a city known as a national and international destination. We are excited that we were able to marry a prudent fiscal move with the opportunity of opening a welcoming facility to all!
