Girl Scouts Honor Volunteers
for Years of Service, Outstanding Dedication

More than 4,303 Girl Scout volunteers from all areas received recognition from Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana during a series of celebrations hosted during National Volunteer Week in April. The events, hosted in Mokena, Lombard, Schererville, and Niles, recognized 3,957 women and men who were honored for their years of service, 33 volunteers who were presented with board-approved awards and 313 who received locally approved awards.

Girl Scout volunteers provide the framework that supports every aspect of our organization, and for that we are grateful. Each volunteer impacts the life of a girl by enabling her to gain access to life-changing opportunities that enable her to do something impactful to make the world a better place. On behalf of the entire council, and every single current and former girl member, thank you to every one of our volunteers!
