Help Make Our Cookie Program Forever Green
Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana are participating in the Girl Scouts Forever Green Community Action Project. This project is to show how girls can make an impact on the environment in the areas of air, water, green space, waste management, and energy. The intent of the project is to see how 2.6 million Girl Scouts can make an impact on the earth by our 100th anniversary in 2012.
One way that girls can help with the project is to remind people to recycle their empty cookie boxes. If girls are interested, they can print recycling labels for the cookie boxes. A template for the labels is available. This template is designed to be used with the labels that come 30 to a sheet (i.e. Avery 5160). If you have girls that would like to participate, please print the labels (PDF and DOC), put them on your ordered boxes and let me know the number of girls helping and the amount of labeled boxes.
With the amount of cookie boxes we have sold, we can make a difference by making sure the empty ones don’t end up in a trash can somewhere.
