Our Girl Scout membership - nearly 95,000 girls and 24,000 adults - want to discover their unique leadership skills, connect with others, and take action to make a difference in their neighborhoods and communities. Girl Scouts is the pre-eminent organization to prepare girls for a world with increasing challenges. We enrich their lives with impactful programs in areas that interest them – like STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), health and fitness, and environmental education – knowing that the benefits of those experiences will last a lifetime. Yet, these developmental programs need to be affordable for the girls while providing necessary resources for the volunteers. Your support of Girl Scouts can impact and ensure the tradition of serving all girls, regardless of financial barriers.

Gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, community organizations, and the United Way provide vital funding to support our Girl Scout council's operations, volunteer training, and girl program activities. The annual $12 membership fee for each girl does not support Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana; it is sent directly to Girl Scouts of the USA for national program development and activity insurance.

Your donation to Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana will provide girls with opportunities to grow and develop their leadership competence supported by caring adults. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place - that's the Girl Scout Mission.
