Two Young Women Receive Honors from The Corinne Jeannine Schillings Foundation
30-Aug-2010Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana announces that two young women from the council received scholarships in 2010 from the Corinne Jeannine Schillings Foundation to further their undergraduate studies. Since 2005, The Corinne Jeannine Schillings Foundation has supported undergraduate college women in the study of languages and learning of other cultures. The foundation was formed to honor the memory of Corinne Jeannine Schillings by providing a living legacy through education.
Katherine P., from Munster, IN, received an Academic Scholarship. Katherine will be attending Butler University in the fall with a major in International Relations, and a minor in Spanish. Erin M., from Downers Grove, IL, received a Travel Abroad Scholarship. Erin is a junior at the University of Notre Dame, an Environmental Engineering major and will study at the University of Western Australia in the fall.
