Girl Scouts Forever Green Festival at the Chicago Sky

We’re partnering with the WNBA’s Chicago Sky to give girls an even greater voice while significantly impacting the environment. Be part of the Girl Scouts Forever Green Community Action Project campaign, and make an impact in your community.
Starting on Earth Day (April 22), Girl Scouts, volunteers, family and friends – aka Forever Green environmental change agents – will collect as many cell phones and batteries as possible. You can create unique ways to collect, and connect with others who share your passion for the environment. You can connect to and share your progress with other change agents through Facebook, and learn about the impact of cell phones and batteries on our environment through the Girl Scout Forever Green blog (coming soon!)
On Saturday, June 5, the collection efforts of all change agents will culminate at the Girl Scouts Forever Green Festival at the Allstate Arena. Change agents will bring their used cell phone and battery collections to the festival for proper disposal and recycling. Then celebrate by watching the Chicago Sky take on the Tulsa Shock!
Registration for the Girl Scouts Forever Green Festival is only $20, and includes:
- Your registration packet filled with a commemorative visor, an energy-efficient light bulb, tips on recycling, and other great items
- Admittance to the Forever Green Festival, which includes complimentary food, beverages, games, music, demonstrations of take action projects, and more (3:30 – 6:30 p.m.)
- One ticket to the Chicago Sky “Go Green” game (6:30 – 9 p.m.)
The Chicago Sky has generously agreed to donate $5 to the Girl Scouts for every person who registers.
