Vote for World's Strongest Girl as Favorite Website

B-Reel and Leo Burnett Worldwide, the creative partners who developed our council's innovative World’s Strongest Girl micro-site for girls, submitted our site to an international website competition and we need your online votes!

Voting will conclude on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 7 a.m. CST, so visit http://www.thefwa.com/submissions/girl-scouts to create a login and vote for our site.

So far, World's Strongest Girl is generating lots of positive comments such as, "I wanna be a Girl Scout! :) " and "Charming.  Girl power in the perfect pitch."

According to www.thefwa.com, "Favourite Website Awards (FWA) was established in May 2000, to recognize the latest and best cutting edge creativity. FWA is an industry recognized award program and inspirational portal, based in England and is one of the World's leading website recognitions. FWA is widely recognized as the number 1 achievement for innovative web design through the Site Of The Year award."

The site also states that FWA was named the number 1 web award in the world, beating the likes of YouTube and the Webbys, in the Chicago Tribune's first World Wide Web Awards Award 2007, in which they "consider the scores of sites vying to become to Internet excellence what Oscar is to film excellence." FWA is the most visited website award program in the history of the internet, with over 75 million site visits as of January 2010 and an estimated additional 30 million per year.

By scouting the Web and evaluating nominated sites, using a well-established criteria and evaluation procedure, FWA selects and showcases future thinking, progressively designed sites who use cutting-edge technology, together with inspirational ideas, that lead the way for future generations.

We want to inspire the imaginations and self-esteem of girls everywhere! Spread the word about World's Strongest Girl and be sure to vote!
